It was another game for the record books on Labour Day in Hamilton with the Ticats coming from behind to defeat the Argos 38 to 27 in front of a packed house at Tim Horton’s Field.
Ticats fans came together to raise an outstanding 230,374 pounds of food for Purolator’s Tackle Hunger initiative, setting a new CFL record! We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated food and funds at the game or throughout the summer at food drives at participating Metro and Fortinos stores across the city. Because of your amazing generosity, individuals and families accessing food banks in Hamilton will have enough to eat this fall.
These record-breaking results would not have been possible without the dedicated team of volunteers from both Hamilton Food Share and Purolator. Thank you for volunteering your time and energy to make the day such an overwhelming success.
Finally, a big thank you goes out to the Ticats and Purolator for championing Tackle Hunger in Hamilton. We appreciate everyone working together to address hunger right here at home. See you next Labour Day Tigertown!
