Over the past several months, we have seen so many unique and creative ways that members of our community have stepped forward to help their neighbours in need. We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the amazing efforts of some of these kindhearted folks:
1. Hamilton based design firm Thrillhouse Studios is running a fundraiser in support of Hamilton Food Share. 100% of the proceeds of these specially designed COVID-19 prints (like the image shown above) will go towards helping Hamiltonians experiencing food insecurity. Head over to their website to learn more and to make your purchase today!
2. Lois Corey of Ancaster decided to set a personal challenge for herself to run a solo half marathon to raise funds for Hamilton Food Share. On May 30th she successfully completed the 21km run and raised an impressive $1200. Check out her story in the Ancaster News. Bravo Lois!
3. Event company Hub of the Hammer has been running weekly online trivia nights with proceeds going to Hamilton Food Share. For a $5 registration fee, you can test your knowledge of TV pop culture including Seinfeld, Parks and Recreation, and The Office. Check out their Facebook page for more info on how to register. Do you have a great idea for a fundraiser? Please give us a call at (905) 664-9065 to discuss your idea. We would love to hear from you!
